Creating Record Type In Person Enable Org

In this blog we will learn about how to creating record type in person enable org object. Let’s get started.
According to the Release Notes: “When person accounts are enabled, a default person account record type is automatically created. You can modify this default person account record type, and you can also add more person account record types.”
Creating Record Type In Person Enable Org
This is pretty simple and similar to record type creation in Business type Org. Just go to Setup->Object Manager->Account->Record Type -> Click on New and create Record type. This will by default be a Business type record type.
If you check in object manager there is a object named Person Account.Person accounts store information about individual people by combining certain account and contact fields into a single record. In order to create a record type of person traverse Setup->Object Manager -> Person Account->Record Type -> Click on new and create a Record type.
In order to assign a record type to particular profile please follow below steps :
Setup -> User ->Profiles -> Click on profile of your choice( As I am selecting System admin profile right now) -> under Record Type Setting tab click on Edit for Account Record type.
Created record types will be available in available list click on desired and move to other side. Save your changes
While creating any record type make sure that you use different name in both objects, Suppose you have created record type name ‘Sales Account’ in Account Object and similarly you have created a record type with name ‘Sales Account’ in Person Account Object while editing option on profile you will have only single record type.
